I will be the first ...I completely understand this. I will be the first to admit I have a pretty foul mouth with the curse words although I don't use other obsene forms of slang. And only with my husband, I refrain at work, public, our son and friends. Your story reminds me of how a few weeks ago I had an encounter with a very unlovely lady. I purchased two huge lamps and was proceeding to put them in my trunk. The lift mechanism on the trunk is broken and thus I have to balance the trunk on my head. As you can imagine, I was clearly struggling as I was removing these lamps from my cart. Right then a lady walked up to her car next to mine, got in, got back out and asked me to move my cart which was in her way. With head balancing trunk, I briefly explained I was unable to move because I had no hands. She just sat there huffing and staring at me. Although I didn't react then, I certainly used every word in the book to describe her later to my husband. People can be so callous. I wanted to be rude right back, but that is not my job, so I bit my tongue and continued to help her. Later, I realized her reaction was probably because her son was having surgery that day. It had absolutely nothing to do with me.

You're so right: we don't always know what influences people's actions. That's why it's always best to take the high road, though I am definitely guilty of not doing so...

Thanks for sharing on Hump Day Happenings!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04405114697964160858noreply@blogger.com
