Tofu & Broccoli Stir-Fry

Hey loves time to eat.

Thursday's Treat...Tofu & Broccoli Stir-Fry!

Ingredients:
-Broccoli
-firm Tofu
-rice
-salt
-soy sauce
-brown sugar
-onion
-garlic
-olive oil

Cook rice amount to your needs and liking. In a large bowl mix pinch of salt, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2tbsps of water, 3tbsps of brown sugar, 1/4 onion chopped into small pieces, 1 1/2 tbsps of garlic powder or 2 garlic cloves minced depending on your taste mix well and set aside.
Chop up your Broccoli heads into med size pieces or use 1 bag of frozen florets, use 1 pack of firm Tofu cut into 1/4 slices than 1/2 inch cubes. Add to sauce bowl your veggies and tofu and mix well.

In a large skillet add 2 tbsps of olive oil to medium heat when hot add your mix, cover and set for 20 minutes. Uncover, turn and cook for another 10 minutes done. Serve over your rice which could be Brown, Jasmin or regular White which is what I had. The sauce over the rice gives it a lite sweet taste because of the brown sugar which is delish, enjoy!

Always stress free xo,
Mari

  1. Gorgeous. I'm a non-vegetarian and still I love tofu. I love to make my own brown sauce but it can be complicated. I'll try this soon!

    1. Hey doll thanks for stopping by. I added Tofu to my diet to work my way away from too much diary. I love cheese but it's terrible for my digestion. Healthy options are the direction I'm pushing myself in. Have you shared your brown sauce if you have send me info if not look forward to the share. Xo

    1. Well doll thanks for commenting and stopping by. I'd say there is no real wrong way to prep Tofu because it takes on the flavor of the herbs and spices you use. I'd suggest you make it with a favorite dish like Pasta and work your way from there lol :) hope to see you here again, feel free to check my other recipes I use Tofu in:)
