The Beauty in Autumn

Happy Sunday my loves!
I've had a week filled with many emotions a roller coaster ride of sorts but I'm sure many of us have these from time to time.

I believe we all need to process what has just taken place and find a way to heal. Some may think they don't need to do anything but my perspective is I respectfully disagree. I think everyone has to come to terms with the nation we live in and the changes required to make "us great again".

I attended a Writer's Workshop lead by the beautiful Ashley Coleman over the weekend. I took the MegaBus to Philly from New York and had an amazing experience. Well worth the trip and the slight nervousness of getting out of comfy zone. We had a wonderful group of people and shared eye opening insights. Afterwards I took in the sights, grabbed an Authentic Philly Cheese steak at Max's and headed back home.

On the ride back I thought about what I wanted to talk about today and I decided to keep things upbeat. Autumn is a vibrant time of year and the colors are just breathtaking. My camera and I have been busy taking in the sights and I thought I'd share some captures with you. Hope you enjoy :)

It's ok to have a slice of Fun

Happy Thursday!

The weather and time of year are finally in sync! I've been enjoying all the awesome colors and warm weather tunes being played. I wanted to share two of my current favorite things. It's not literally food but a treat and fun none the less.

Thursday's Treat...something to inspire you to have an Awesome summer!!!

-My favorite song right now love the double meaning and its catchy beat makes me just want to get up and move. Be inspired to live moment by moment and let go of the rigid life style.

cake by the ocean!!!

-Photos. I took these recently on a walk around my neighborhood. I love bright happy blooming finds. They remind me to slow down and enjoy again...the moment. I used my IPhone 5 and Tadaa app for editing tell me what you think. Enjoy!

Collector of Beautiful things

I'm a collector of Beautiful things.
Soft and fluffy, plush and bright suck me in.
Vibrant colors all the shades make me smile
like a child who sees a rainbow makes my heart go wild.

The details in the package, the care and strategic placement delivery is always key.
I'm a sucker for presentation but that's how it should be.

I'm a collector of Beautiful things.
Books, letters, cards and quotes. Words that inspire and bring about growth.
Expressed thoughts that provoke conversation and expand our world
letters coming together to form words that encourage Love.

I'm a collector of Beautiful things.
People who give more than they take.
Who spread seeds of joy and laughter who leave you inspired and uplifted.
Their absence is felt the moment they leave the room.

I'm a collector of Beautiful things.

New York City Blizzard 2016

Happy Sunday!!!
Well in NYC we had our first big storm and though it was beautiful to see I won't lie it truly is an inconvenience to many. I ventured out and took these pics hope you enjoy. My poor hands were frozen by the time I was done.

Right now I am dreaming of sand between my toes and the sun on my back.

Ice cream and sitting under a tree or a nice dinner outside of a Mulberry street restaurant.
Summer, I miss you!!!

My Favorite Season in Pictures

Happy Sunday everyone! It's a gorgeous day outside and since I keep running into these darn end of summer posts, back to school blah blah and even lets start saving for Christmas stories I decided to head out the house early go out and enjoy my day but leave you with this.

If you were to ask me what my favorite season is I would respond...Summer, period hands down.

Being born and raised in a place where I experience the four seasons I have learned to lean towards warmth. New York City in the summer time is a different animal. It really is a collection of things to see and that's starting with the people. The places to go to and the many things to explore is another.

Summer is my favorite season because I get dressed in half the time compared to Winter. I never have to cover my feet and it's daylight for a longer period of time. I always feel energized and ready for an adventure. I don't concern myself as much about bad weather weekends or like to spend too much time in the kitchen.

Summer brings flowers, green grass, warm breezes and sand between my toes. Summer means intense Sunlight and cold Ice Cream. Amusement parks and Street Fairs. Summer means dinners outdoor, drinks with friends, strolls and holding hands. Sprinklers and slides, bike rides and flying kites.

Summer shows off those nice legs that were covered up during the cold, those abs your neighbor has been working on and that new pool in the community center gets put to good use. Summer means Freedom. What a shame it seems like it just last for a short time.

In my NYC today we have the Dominican Day Parade shout out to all my fellow Dominicans, lets go out and have some fun but lets also pray for those in distress. We have Harlem week, lots of great food and events and we have just day to day activities in all 5 boroughs so if your in my neck of the woods grab a map and get out there.

Here are some pictures to encourage us to get out and keep us in the mood longer...
