Live the highest expression of Yourself

When I tell you that I will not accept something Believe me
When I say I am for real Trust me.
When I open my space to you Enjoy it

I aspire to always be like a Peacock

Expand my feathers and give you an amazing show. Be tall and glide as I walk so my presence is known. Turn from side to side so you can take in all the wonder of me and tip toe gracefully as not to scare you away.

I aspire to always be like a waterfall

Bold and ever flowing with natures gift. Sometimes loud sometimes quiet but always exciting to look at. Whether high up or low to the ground always leaving your mark behind.
Never selfish always connecting with another to allow life to continue to go on.

I aspire to always be like a Boulder

Hard to miss and smoothed out with time. Strong, enduring, and no matter where it lands it always manages to hold its own.

I aspire to always be Childlike

Never afraid to run free, let go of your hand and try new things. Always laughing, giggling and rolling around on the floor. Spitting things out that taste bad and asking for more when things are really good. Enjoying a game of make believe and never taking things to seriously.

I aspire to always be like a Rose

Beautiful as she blooms inviting all to come and enjoy her beauty but with Thorns that say use caution as you approach. Bringing joy and brightness to her surroundings and leaving a sense of emptiness when she is gone. Reminding us that nothing last forever so enjoy each moment and shine brightly as you walk through life.

Let go

I want my time on this earth to mean something
I want my name to evoke feelings of joy
I want my face to bring a smile to yours
I want to leave a room and be missed

Don't want to waste a minute holding on to anger
Don't want a day to go by without saying I love you
Don't want to look back and think what if
Don't want to use I am sorry as a crutch

If only is a cop out
But is an excuse
Later doesn't matter
Tomorrow is too late

The present is what matters
Don't waste another day putting off living the life that you dream of
Everything has an end.
Always stress free xo

Purpose

Ever wonder why you're here?

Ever wonder, why Me?

Of course you have, we all have at one point or another.

When we are young we don't see past what's in front of us. We plan but don't really grasp the concept of the time it takes and may take to see those plans through.

My plans were...be a National Geographic photographer, travel the world, find the man that loves me just as much as I love him, be a mommy but not the type my mother was, be surrounded by family and friends that love me and enjoy my company, be healthy, build an awesome home in which to share my blessings, watch my children grow and become amazing people, laugh love and live till I was old and gray. That is a basic summary.

I have achieved a few but not many of those plans and that is because sometimes things get Broken along the way. Some because you dropped the ball and some just because Life happens.

I am an open book when it comes to my failures and achievements in the eyes of my daughter. There is not a whole lot she doesn't know about her mother or her father for that matter.

I never chose or wanted to paint the Super Hero parent picture most parents want to do. The "oh I never tried that, or the I never did that" card. Before, During and After Erica's parents will be human beings first. Yes we have messed up plenty of times, yet we are still here to love and guide her no matter what.

I have loved and lost I have laughed and cried I have begged, borrowed and stolen (not literally). I have had some amazing proud moments in my life just as I have had the "damn did I really do that" moments as well.
What I have learned from my journey thus far is that even something that is Broken has a Purpose.

As a parent my responsibility is to teach this lesson to my daughter. As parents it's our responsibility to teach our children we are not what we failed at, but what we turned that failure into.

Even something that is Broken has a Purpose. Find it.
